The forecast is mixed for next week in Normandy... sun and showers.. so please come prepared with layers and waterproofs! Don't forget to bring your passport and EHIC card, and leave your SIM card at home.

Recommended Items to take

Mobile phones / cameras and other valuables must be labelled with pupils' names.

The smallest possible appropriate suitcase. 
A small shoulder-bag / mini-rucksack for use on journey and outings.

Hand-luggage:
Full Passport and EHIC card - have easily accessible, ready to be checked and handed in on morning of departure.
Money. (see separate paragraph below): Euros (enough for postcards, drinks, souvenirs, presents e.g. sweet/dry cider / apple juice approx. 4 euros a bottle); Sterling for outward & return journeys, plus driver tip, if appropriate.
Packed lunch and drink for eating outside on outward journey (no glass bottles that could break please!)
Water bottles (We will have extra water on the coach which we can pour into water bottles).
Inhaler (if needed) - to be carried at all times.
Medication (if needed) - to be handed to a teacher for safe keeping.
Travel sickness pills, if required.
If appropriate, spare set of spectacles.
Watch/mobile phone without sim card – essential.

Possibly, electronic games and headphones (not to be taken on outings)
Spare batteries / memory card.
Electrical: Charging unit & adaptor.
Cards, games, magazines, books – anything to help pass the time on a journey!
Writing materials & pencil-case (with coloured pencils and glue, if possible).

Suitable rainwear: jacket, trousers, umbrella. (This is essential.  Pupils must pay for plastic raincoats if they forget their own).
Hat or cap for protection against the sun.
Small waterproof mat for sitting on.
Pupil Booklet (issued on the first day).  This must be carried at all times as it contains vital contact information.

Suitcase:
Smart, casual clothes e.g. jeans, shorts, T shorts, sweat shirts, jumpers. NO skimpy clothes
(no crop tops, torn jeans, revealing shorts).
Underwear.
Footwear suitable for lots of walking e.g. trainers (no flip-flops).
Footwear suitable for the beach.
Nightwear.
Waterproof coat if not worn on journey.
Towel
Washbag & contents (to be used regularly!).
Sun protection cream.
Hairdryer if needed - this will need an adaptor and remember you can share!
Travelling alarm clock? (Don’t worry - a teacher will wake you in the mornings!)
Small torch is useful.
